I have the same issue. When I have an incoming call, the ringtone breaks and the sound is terrible. It also happens on some apps when they have background music - "Star Walk 2" for example. It is so terrible that I feel embarrassed. Please do investigate and fix it. I am starting to hate my phone because of this.

It's interesting to know if it is a software or a hardware problem.

My xz3 also appear that problems.

How is it behaving in safe mode?

In safe mode just the perinatale apps are starting up and interference from self installed apps is eliminated.

If behaviour in safe mode isn't good as well then take up contact with support.

Safe mode and support can be found easily in the support app on your device.

Same problem on xperia xz3 but very rare. This is only on yotube. (my experience)

My wife add me have xperia xz3 and also facing the same problem. Did repair with pc companion and problem is still here. Dont know what to do. I think its a bug. Also there is on "crackling sound xperia xz3 forum" issue. Sony response and fix issue.
