Upgraded my Xperia 1 to Android 10 via OTA today. However, after that, the screen display color looks over saturated, not as good as when back on Android 9. Colors displayed in Creator mode seems the same as that in Standard mode, and white balance won't apply when changing display mode unless I click into White Balance page.
So sad.

It happens randomly and occasionally after a switch on.
Restarting the phone would get it fixed by some chance.
Sometimes you need to restart it several times if it doesn't get fixed by being restarted only once.
Hoping SONY gets it permanently fixed by some softerware update.

Try restarting the phone (a few times if necessary). It's a bit of a lottery now whether the color management system (CMS) is properly initialized upon start.

I've noticed that since the Android 10 update that the display saturation has increased, and the "Creator Mode" now appears to have no effect. Images in general look very unnatural and the home screen icons/wallpaper are too cartoony.
Some Pixel users have reported a similar issue so might be an Android 10 problem not specific to Sony...
Anyone else with the same issue?

I have the same problem, and what helped was restarting the phone multiple times until the color management system worked properly.

I had restarted a few times without success, but tried again this morning and seems to have come good thankfully. Cheers!

It really is a lottery. My phone crashed yesterday which needed a hard restart (power + volume buttons). The saturation returned and took about 6 restarts to come good.
