4 red leds blinking after latest update (KD55XE9005)

After the update my TV doesn't turn on and show a 4 red leds blinking.

I have tried an hard reset, but nothing happened. What can have happened?

Nobody can downgrade the firmware. And I cannot do anything with the TV right now... it's completely blocked.

And yes... the firmware is correct

Got this on my XE8596 as well, decided to update after putting it off for so long. Then it bricked.

How do I contact Sony UK directly and get it escalated quickly? I'm without a TV.

It sucks doesn’t it! I hoped they’d have pulled the update by now tbh! Give them a call tomorrow morning and they’ll get your local service centre to call you within a few hours

That's exactly how hardware is braking and the problem is not the software itself but let's say coolers were not active during reboot and for normal operation it would be Ok. but you had factory defected chip that didn't handle the heat. (for example)

Yep. That's exactly what the local support said to me this evening.

They wll change it. I hope by friday to have back my TV

But it can happen again if they don't fix the update

Change eg. the defective ld board ot the TV with a brand new one?

For a 5 months ago purchased TV I would pursue the latter.

Which version is your TV?

If you know the firmware of your TV that it had, you can get that update and downgrade it
