Hi,
I have a KD-55X8005C running v3.885 (no extra apps) and I've noticed that on a daily basis I see a number of UDP requests to other machines on the same subnet on port 1902. The only known assignment I can find is "Fujitsu ICL Terminal Emulator Program B" and I don't think it's that!
Does anyone happen to know what the TV trying to connect to?
Of course, I can just drop the packets, which is what I am doing, but I'm curious.
Thanks,
Nige.
Hi @mymatenige,
It's probably Google Cloud Messaging Service, which is usual behavior for all Android devices.
Cheers,
C
Google Cloud Messaging is on other ports. Seems like Sony found a new scapegoat for everything .
I don't believe it's GCM or the newer FCM. According to Google's own website:
The ports to open are: 5228, 5229, and 5230.
I have escalated this for you @mymatenige, so someone from Support will be in touch soon.
