Can someone clear this up for me, 2 retailers are now advising that the
KD55X8509C
Is now hdr via a software update, I looked last week on the Sony product page and it did say it was added for netflix, a review of this TV also inform the update does have hdr, after contacting Sony they say no? So does it now support hdr I'd so does it only do via netflix or can it take this from a HDMI inpit

HDR does indeed work on Netflix - however there are only a couple of shows that support this. You also need to be on the highest Netflix package too, in order to view HDR content.

So who's is correct? Sony? There are now several suppliers inform customer hdr, the last firm ware seems to suggest it, and a few reviews have updayed there content to say it does. Do o cancel me order?
This is what I used to check my KD55X8508C and was playable 100%.
I don't know of course if this is a real confirmation about HDRs
