Hi all - thanks for all the informative information I have found on this community site.
I have recently purchased the above tv and I am using it with a (UK) BT Ultra HD package. The output of the box is 2160p50 and I have set it to 10 bit colour.
Generally speaking I am very happy with the telly but I am experiencing a bug which sounds similar to the "Screen Format: Full" issue reported on another thread.
After a period of watching TV (normally longer extended periods of say 2 hours), the picture starts to judder and the "Screen Format: Full" message flicks on and off. The only way to recover this is to switch the telly off and on again which seems to allow the telly to "resync". This problem happens *every* day when watching TV at least once.
It is not a problem with the BT box as when I switch that on and off the picture problem does not clear.
I have tried different 4K related settings on the telly / BT box but the problem still occurs. Has anyone else noticed this with the TV ?
Thanks,
Ian
Solved! Go to Solution.
What will we all talk about if this fixes the problem....I know the problem that's created by fixing the juddering! Always the optimised.
I have just updated my 8599 with the new update and it hasnt fixed it. My Sky-Q image still judders, I am a little disappointed as i was pinning my hopes on this fixing it.
I don't see your model mentioned in the list of TV models that the download will be available for?
I have the KD-49x8309c I have installed the update and will update if the fix has worked or not, I might add that since I updated last night I think my harmony touch remote now has lag menu options take a while to appear, the issue maybe completely unrelated but will let you know.
My exact model number is KD-55XD8599 and it is referenced on the below link:
I have performed the full reset again just in case, but i am watching itsms via Sky-Q and UHD samples on my HTPC.
I will keep you posted.
I have an XD93 and I have seen some judder this morning. It lasted a few minutes but has since stopped again
I am keeping a very close eye on this issue.
I now have constant judder. This is pss poor for a £2000 tv. Time to return I think
So people are still getting juddering even on this new firmware? Will be keeping a close eye on mine over this weekend
