Hi about 3-4 times per week since I purchased this TV in April 2020 from
John Lewis it becomes unresponsive to remote control.
Even restarting doesn’t solve the problem and only when it allows me to eventually can I then reload the Freeview digital channel list via the TV Antenna. Then it clears the problem until it next reoccurs? Has anyone else had this kind of problem?
First, check the batteries in the remote. With a battery tester if you have one, otherwise try a new set. You can always go back to the old ones if new ones have no effect.
While the TV is responsive, look at the business end of the remote with your phone camera and press a few buttons, You should see flickering,
The next time the TV becomes unresponsive, try it again. if there is no flickering, the remote is faulty.
If there is flickering, factory reset the TV.
if the problem persists, or come back in time, talk to John Lewis.
By the way, this is an ‘Other TV’, not an Android one; the advice above is generic, but anything Android-specific won’t apply.
Hi TomCat5619, try removing the batteries and pressing the power button on the remote for 10 secs then install them again, that will reset the remote and mostly it works. Also, when it is not responses, does the LED on the TV flash?
