speed of network card

Hi,

Whats the speed options of the built in network card ?

can it be altered ??

If not can a usb to ethernet adaptor be used and recognised as a network connection by the tv.

I ask ask as my isp (virgin media) has up'd my speed from 100mbps to 200 mbps, so I want to get the 200 speed

working but may be limited by the card limitations.

The ethernet interface is limited to 100Mbps.  And personally I have never achieved above 100Mbps via WiFi 5GHz either (heck! not even 100Mbps of real transfer speed) . Still for internet usage is plenty. 4K HDR video streaming doesn't usually reach 20Mbps... The major benefit you would get using your full internet bandwidth is that you would download the apps and updates faster.

Also 100Mbps are (just) enough for local streaming. Via DLNA or else. I don't think it would be a worthy investment to add a faster adapter, if possibile.

can you recommend a decent browser to install on the TV, which will allow the download and install of apk's etc.
