Hi All - Can anyone 'lead me by the nose' re settings for DoF Although I've had this camera for some time I have rarely ventured beyond any of the auto settings...... but am really struggling with the whole DoF process. So.....
1) I reset camera to original/factory state because I thought that I may have entered settings at sometime that could interfere with DoF process.
2) Viewed full PDF Manual and various/numerous online articles but am no nearer a solution other than...
3) Used Aperture Priority setting and wide range of f-settings and adjusted focus, but at no time is Dof visible prior to shooting (or afterwards!) making it impossible to create the images I want.
4) Tried Manual and Shutter options (as much out of desperation as any other reason).
Any suggestions that may help will be much appreciated.
Kind Regards
Dunworkin
Hi Dunworkin,
I'm just going to try to find some answers for you. In the meantime, maybe someone else in the community might have some ideas.
Thanks,
Pascale
Thank you Pascale - Any input appreciated. Must be an age thing!! I'm really struggling with what should (Ithink) be a fairly straightforward process......
Hi Dunworkin,
I took a look at the guide but only found it's possible using Aperture priority mode: https://helpguide.sony.net/gbmig/45306861/v1/en/contents/TP0000518202.html

Hi Both - Thank you for you responses. I'm still working on this. I have made some small progress using Aperture setting but results are a bit hit and miss. I will post again as (hopefully) things improve and I achieve the results I want.
Thanks again for your input.
Kindest Regards
Dunworkin
