NFC cannot be used in Multi camera Control

I am unable to transfer photos from my RX100M4 to my android smartphone using the "Play Memories" app.

I've followed the instructions given in the video but, as soon as I try to connect the camera to the phone via NFC, I get the error message "NFC cannot be used in Multi camera Control".

How do I dis-engage the "Multi camera Control" function?

Your help will be much appreciated.

Thank you.

Thank you for that, though I found the error I had made (I am at "newbie" status when it comes to cameras!). My error lay in the settings page of the Play Memories Mobile app on my phone! I had unwittingly enabled "Connect 2/ camera via access point". Once I'd disabled that option my camera and phone communicated seemlessly, which is great.

I've no idea what "w/ camera" is though, other than something to do with multiple cameras under the control of one phone perhaps? Anyway, that functionality is way beyond my elementary needs at present.

Many thanks

Tim

Hi tmetford,

Could you be referring to Multi Frame NR? If that's the case, you can disable it as shown here:
