RX10 iii battery issue.

I have a major problem with battery usage on my RX10 iii.

Sony brand batteries last about 250 shots at best with constant drainage even when switched off. Basically take a few pics and battery lasts no longer than 3-4 hours even when no shots taken.

I have 2 batteries and they're both the same so its not the battery thats at fault.

|Also have off brand battery, lasted 20 shots!!!

Any advice please. Have been told a firmware update may help, mines version1.0 but i can't find how to perform this update anywhere.

Sadly, there is no firmware update for the RX10M3.

Looking at other forums, a few users have reported a similar experience but this seems to be limited to a small number of the total.

You could try speaking to Sony Support but don’t hold your breath while waiting for a solution!

Yeah contacted support within first month or so of getting camera and just got standard copy/paste answer.

Only other option is send it back to Sony but don't want to be without a camera for however many months it will take them to repair/replace.

Looks like I'll just have to buy a ton of batteries and put up with it.
