Hi All,
Am searching for a piece of family footage that is on a VHS tape, and have quite a pile to get through, but having a nightmare trying to connect my VCR player to Sony Bravia kdl-32bx300 tv. Yes, it's been a while! One of the big problems is that all the writing on the back of the TV, which informs whether connections are IN/OUT etc are black - the same colour as the back of the TV, so it's impossible to read them. Have spent all day searching online for help but nothing has worked, then I found this site. Really hope someone can help me.
I have the options of connection with yellow (video), red & white (audio) mini jacks; SCART cable. I tried this but couldn't find any corresponding channel on the TV when I pressed the top left hand side button on remote. Do I have to set it up in some way first? Any help will be really appreciated. Thanks!
Download the manual for your TV here,
https://www.manualslib.com/download/246912/Sony-Kdl-32bx300.html
Click on Download PDF.
Go to page 31 and 32 to see the inputs your TV has.
When you have connected the VCR to the TV you need to switch the TV to analogue mode
using the input selector top left of the remote. The VCR is an analogue device.
You will need to tune your TV to the VCRs signal go to the TV settings menu
and then the channel set up, select analogue> auto tune hopefully the TV will
find the VCRs signal.
Also have a look at page 36, 69 and page 70.
