I purchased this soundbar around 8 months ago and it has worked flawlessly ever since. However as of today the subwoofer has no power whatsoever. There is no power light and I have tried multiple plug sockets. The soundbar still works fine. I have contacted Sony support but they have not got back to me- apparently a confirmation email was meant to appear but that is nowhere to be seen. Any help would be appreciated
I found this video which is suspect is the issue.
Excellent diagnostics and repair skills from the video maker.

My Subwoofer 'died' just after my warranty ran out. Currys PC World Tech charge 95GBP just to look at it! The 54334 buck converter chip is 'reportedly' very problematic in this application. I am very disappointed in both Sony and Curry's PC World. I will replace this with a more reliable unit.
Can I ask which capacitor you found it was?
Just opened up mine and not seeing any sign of blown capacitors but would like to hone in!
