I recently purchased the HT-G700. I checked the firmware version to see if I needed to update or not and its version was 2.096. The latest version in European Sony sites is 1.062. What's happening??
Hi @npapanik, i think that there should be no issue here as long as the device is working fine.
The device might have gotten a new update directly at the store or at the factory before you received it
Its definitely from the factory, but its a bit weird that they haven't posted it in their sites. Also, the version seems radically different from the 1.062...
Thank you for the insight. Though it will be great to hear from Sony directly as I have posted the question to them and still waiting for a response. Will update their response here once received to help others with similar issue.
Thanks all.
