Hi can anybody help please?
I've just bought a Sony RX-V6A AV Receiver which keeps cutting out on high volume with the error code check SP wire. There is nothing wrong with the connecting wires to the speakers all the ends have been soldered so there is no crossover or wires touching the chassis. The unit cuts out on high volume especially with gunshots in war films. The problem may be that I'm running 4 ohm speakers and the amplifier is rated at 6 ohm. Although I have been told they should not make a difference by the company that supplied me with the amplifier and speakers. Please could someone with more knowledge than me give me a helping hand please.

That's also a Yamaha, I actually checked both models, typo'd and typo-less just in case. Both are Yamaha, Sony's usually start with STR (for the new ones, don't recall the old model number scheme off the top of my head).
Checkout Yamaha forums (if they have them) or double check the model if you're 100% sure it's a Sony one.
Hope this helps!
