STR-DN850 'Control for HDMI' annoyances with Sky HD Box

Hi Guys,

Little bit of an annoyance with the Control for HDMI option on my STR-DN850 which hopefully someone can help with.

I have Control for HDMI on for ease of use, and so the ARC funcitonality works when using the Netflix app etc on my Bravia. This all works great.

However, with the Sky HD box, everytime i open the Sky menu or select a channel, the 'overlay' screen (for lack of a better term) appears covering the bottom third of the screen, indicating the HDMI input - in my case saying 'Sky'.

This doesnt appear if the Control for HDMI option is off. I'm assuming it pops up every time as the signal is changing/quickly turning off/on when selecting a channel? Is there a way to stop this, as it stays on for a few seconds every time i do something?

Hi there

That banner information should only appear for about 5 seconds? 

Howeverim a little unclear if this is a AV Receiver issue or a TV Issue. If you could reply back with the make/model of your TV and maybe a photo - it might help.  Have you looked in the settings of your TV?
