I have a pair of Elac up-firing speakers placed on top the front speakers, this is set as 5.1.2 (FD) in the menu when calibrating. When moving on to the next section for calibrating to input the height it shows a picture of ceiling mounted speakers and asks for the distance between ceiling and floor with an arrow pointing down from ceiling to the floor. My question is, should I just measure from the height of the Elac`s to the ceiling or from the Elac`s to the ceiling plus from the ceiling back down to the floor as well.
The way I see it is as follows, if I did have ceiling mounted speakers and used the calibration, then the test tone from those ceiling mounted speakers is being picked up by the mic when the sound hits the floor (or is that not right?) The Elac`s work well for my room but just wondering if doing the latter will help improve things slightly, any advice appreciated thanks.

Hello @u8myufo,
I would measure the distance from the upfiring speaker to the ceiling and back to where you sit, as the sound travels this distance.

@SkyNet404 Yeh did that previously but to be honest it gave the wrong distances for the speakers and set them all to large. I know the latter may just be a default setting but i`d sooner measure all speaker distances exact myself. But as mentioned all seems spot on now thanks.
Well, glad that it's all working now fine now mate! Cheers.
