Help ! My Xperia PLAY screen is all fuzzy like a TV

The screen has totally froze no movement at all.Like a white background with millions of different dot colours.

Reminds be abit of fuzzy on TV but still

Tried switching on/off remove battery etc but still same

Any ideas?

take the battery out, and w/o the battery press and hold the Power button for few seconds, then try again

I have done that just but sadly the problem still exists....its like a mosiac filling the whole screen.

One minute the phone was working the next complete blank out

How to install it

You need to

go to settings -> applications -> check unknown sources

download IO File Manager

download the backup & restore app, transfer it to your SD card, use OI file manager to find it -> tap on it -> install it

Contacts

just to play it safe sync your contacts w/ google if you haven't already

open your phonebook

press MENU button -> tap on Send Contacts -> select all -> send it to your email
on your computer
-> download the file -> go to your gmail -> click on contacts -> click on more actions -> on the drop down menu click on "import" -> choose the file -> and click import
Apps

Don't worry so much about backing up your apps

on your computer go to

market.android.com -> log in -> click on My Library -> and send all your apps to your phone

SMS/MMS

if you don't want to use the backup & restore app then

Install "backup SMS" to back up your SMS and MMS to your Gmail

I have the same issue on my experia play, and none of the mentioned here fixes are working for me just a ststic, fuzzy screen. Dose any one have any more ideas on how to get the display up and running again?

So this is for anyone that has this problem and seeks out help like I did. I was playing around with my phone while looking up ways to fix its static screen and stuff. I fixed it by holding down the power button for a moment until i knew the screen would normally have the phone options onscreen, then i just tapped the screen attempting to hit where these options would be and when i hit one, i think it was "silent mode" my screen flashed back to normal. I hope this can help someone with this terrifying problem.

This is many many years later but this worked wonderfully for my old Xperia Play that I'm nostalgic towards. Thank you! You're a gentleman and a scholar Slightly_smiling_Face
