VC-1 & KDL-42W805A

Hello,

I have brand new Sony KDL-42W805A and  I have to question to us, if this model really doesn't support VC-1 codec in MKV. I make lossless backups from my BDs to external HDD and I can´t play ripps which are in codecs VC-1. In .H264 forks fine.

my question is, I mean, absoluelly right, because my previous Samsung LCD LE32C650 has also indicated in manual, that VC-1 is not supported, but it can.

So, is there chance, that in the future it can do?

I cant predict the future   However, I would say that its unlikely, but if you want, try emailing Sony and see if they have any plans.

It is really bad, that TV with cost arround $1000 unable to do this. I don't understand it.
