I bought a Sony NW21ZF a couple of months ago and the Optiarc BD Rom BC-5500S4 won't burn CDs. Sony Support have advised editing the registry and/or a complete recovery. I don't see why I should have to do this with a new laptop especially since the machine seems to be working alright otherwise. Has anyone else experienced problems with this drive. I am sceptical about the effectiveness of Sony drives. I had a Rock laptop with a DVD RW DW-U50A which would only read and write certain disks. Any support would be appreciated.
