VGN-SR520G/B slow to wake up from sleep

My new Win 7 VGN-SR520G/B is very slow waking up from sleep due to inactivity. So if I walk away for an hour, when I return and press Enter, it takes a minute or two (haven't really timed it) to come back. While it is waking up, everything freezes. Is there a way to correct this?

Another user report the same issue after install Windows 7. The problem was solved checking out a feel items...

- It's your disc heavily fragmented ? Can you optimize the HD ?
- The Firewall & Anti virus / Spyware is installed ?
- The start up software's / processes are really necessary ?
- Did you install ALL updates from our Sony Vaio website ?

After perform the steps above and the issue still visible for you, let us know, Ok ?

To answer your questions:
1. My hard disk is not fragmented; it is brand new. My C: drive has 419 GB free of 457 GB. So that isn't the problem.
2. I use the latest Norton Internet Security 2010. I know that some people really think Norton is bad, and I used to be one of them! I swore I would never use a Symantec product again, and tried a few others. Eventually I tried Norton again and found that Symantec has greatly improved the problems they used to have with sucking up all of the computer resources. My old Compaq Win XP computer has no problem with it, and I have not seen it using resources too much on the Vaio.
3. I have already turned off all of the Startup programs, and I've disabled unneeded Services and changed some Automatic services to Manual. I use Black Viper and Paul Collins as my gurus.
4. I have NOT installed any updates from the Sony Vaio website. I am not aware of this. I'll look for that and do it and report back on what happens.

Sorry, itbroker... I did find that page, but should I really download ALL of those? I don't want to add MORE junk to my computer! It's already got problems! How do I know which ones to download?

At soon Sony offer an up-to-date software/driver, you can apply without any restrictions.

That's means, you can apply ALL up-dates detected by Vaio Update.
