Hi
I would try using the Vista Utilities for the FE11S downloadable here: -
http://support.vaio.sony.eu/computing/vaio/downloads/updates/index.aspx?l=en_GB&m=VGN-FE11S&os=7
To get the Fn keys to work, install IN ORDER: -
1. Sony Utils DLL
2. Sony Shared Library
3. Setting Utility Series
4. Vaio Event Service
You may have to try more than once!

Hello,
thanks for the explanation.
I have downloaded all the files and installed as you say.
But, it does not work, still.
Is there any other possiblility to dark display?
It is really so bright.
Regards

The only other way I can think of is to go to Control Panel -> Power Options. At the bottom of the 'Select a Power Plan' window you will find a slider to adjust the screen brightness.
If you want to make this change permanent, click on 'Change Plan Settings' for the active Power Plan and adjust the screen brightness sliders for both Battery and Mains Power.
