Help setting up a VAIO with a BRAVIA...

Ok, so I recently purchased a lovely FZ31M. Which, like my 26" S Series BRAVIA, has a HDMI connection.

I have the two connected fine and am posting this message now using my TV.

The problem I have - is getting the screen to output at a decent level. By that I mean fitting the TV display properly. As it is now, I can't see the taskbar/start menu, or the minimize/maximize/close program buttons at the top right of the screen.

The resolution is set to: 1680 x 1050, and frequency at 25 Hz.

I've tried what I thought would sort it to no avail, any advice much appreciated, cheers!

Hi Local boy and welcome to CV!

Try this:
On the Bravia remote press Menu
Go to Settings and press OK
Go to Screen and press ok or go right
Go down to the setting Display Area
Press ok and select Full Pixel
Press Menu to exit

Have sorted it now and have switched to a higher res so it looks even better.
