Yet another issue with Sony.
While using the Sony Technical Support Site I was prompted to enter the serial number of my VAIO PC.
I entered the first 8 digits into the `A' Box and the last 7 digits into the `B' Box.
The `A' box turned red which I assumed indicates that the first 8 digits are incorrect. The `B' Box turned green which I suppose means they were correct.
I have checked the serial number of my PC several times and as far as I can see I am entering the correct serial number.
Nothing happens when I activate the `Validate' Button
My PC is a SVL2412M1EB which was purchased during November 2012
Has anyboby else experienced this problem?

Yes there have been a couple of threads about problems with Vaio serial numbers..
As you can see from this thread - https://www.sony.co.uk/discussions/message/1237685#1237685 it's been highlighted to Sony so hopefully the issue should be resolved soon..

I have emailed Sony on this subject but will not hold my breath awaiting a reply.
I am still waiting for a reply to a previous issue where I am unable to update VAIO Update.
