VAIO VGN-NW20EF - Camera not working

My camera just show very dark picture (shadow) e.g. when using with Skype.

Any suggestions to rectify the problem would be appreciated.

Is it possible to reinstall the camera software/driver?

Hi Ali,

Your model uses native windows drivers for the camera so re-installing as such from Sony Support is not an option. You can remove the camera from Device Manager, shutdown, reboot and let Windows re-install the drivers automatically, but I doubt somehow that this will have any effect.

If it is only Skype that is giving the problem then try re-installing the software.
