I bought my Sony KD-55AF8 in 2019 and was able to use the BBC iPlayer with no problems until a few months ago.

I can logon ok but the programme I choose will not load, I get the following message instead:

"Something went wrong loading this programme.  This is usually a temporary problem.............  Error Code 02056"

After reading about similar problems with iPlayer, I performed a factory reset (I won't be doing that again after problems getting back onto Netflix & Amazon Prime) and updated the software on the TV. I still have the problem.

I can, however, access iPlayer via my Virgin Media Tivo box, so the problem is with the TV not iPlayer.

Are Sony still investigating this and will they be issuing a software update or do I have to stick with Virgin Media and its less than perfect reliability.?
