How do I open a new google page

When I prees the + key  I get a Sony page instead of a new goole page. Also I ha e just noticed that the back and forward keys do not work when postingto this forum and that what you are typingdoes not show until you tap the spave bar.

Why does Sony do these WEIRD things , dont theycheck their product before release ?

Hi oseven,

When you press the + tab it launches a new tab using the page that's set as your home page - which I'm guessing you have left as the default setting.

If you wish to change from the Sony one then do the following -

Open the Browser..

Then click on the icon in the top right of your Tablets screen..

From the drop down list click on Settings..

Then click in General click on Set Homepage..

Either -

Click on the current address replace the address with one of your choice ie http://www.google.co.uk then press OK

Or if your browser is already open on the google page simply click on Current page the address should change to the page that was displayed before you enter the browser settings section. Then as above click on OK to change.

Now when you press the + tab is should launch a new page using the address that set as your home page..:smileywink:

Also I ha e just noticed that the back and forward keys do not work when  postingto this forum

Hmm seem to work ok for me, although there is a slight delay before the page loads..:smileyconfused:

You better stop posting like that Faith or you'll ruin your image..

I have many hidden talents   Didn't you know, I am a technical genius behind closed doors

To be fair though, it was bugging the hell out of me as well, so did a bit of digging, and just happened to stumble on the setting :smileyblush:

Thanks for the answers. Should have figured that out for myself .

Still think that its weird that you cannot see the last word you have typed juntil you touch the space bar swhen using the tablet to post on this site.

Does anyone know if this happens with alternative keyboards?

Sorry about the errors, its this bloody keyboard.
