New tablet update

Hi,

this may be a silly question!

I have just got the sony tablet  3g today but I haven't had time to get a sim card for it.  Am I ok to do the initial software update before I put a sim card in?

Got a bit worried as it asks if i want to use wifi only or wifi and mobile network.

Apologies  for the silly question, im not normally this simple lol

All the settings will be editable once set up, try select wifi and network. The worse that can happen is it'll say the Sim is missing and you'll have to update the settings once you have a Sim card. Best connecting via wifi all the time when available away
