"Shrink" internet window to access rest of tablet?

When listening to radio stations or doing anything within an app it is possible to go "home" and still be able to listen.  However if listening via the station's website you cannot do this so you are stuck with the internet page and cannot access the other features or apps on the tablet.  Has anyone found a way around this or am I stuck with listening to radio soley via apps?

no experience, but: try to find a radio app where you can copy a URL (=webadress) grabbed from a radio stream in the browser, and paste it to add it into the radio app bookmarks.

Technically the web browser is just an app too. If it were to receive an update, it could have an option to keep playing media in background when put there. this is not always wanted, of course. Currently, there is no such setting.
