The moral lesson would be to read more about the upgrade before downloading. Same thing happened to me and it sucks.

have you updated it? you could just use a 3rd party one. realplayer is really good, much better than stock but you lose the throw function.

Hello,

I am very happy to see that I am not the only one with this VERY SERIOUS video streaming problem. If there is a way to roll back this latest update, 4.0.3 I would do that immediately. Is there?

The problem is common to all streaming video apps I have tried, for example YouTube, ES Video Viewer, the built in video viewer and some more.

Problem: If you watch a clip that is a little bit longer, for example 15 minutes, and try to do a skip of several minutes (jump forward) it seems to only work maximum one time. If you then again try to skip forward some minutes in the clip it ALWAYS hangs and after a while you get a crash report. Very annoying! This was definitely no problem before the latest 4.0.3 upgrade, then you could skip back and forward in a movie as many times you'd like. It only affects streaming video from internet, not local files.

I have really tried every possible solution that I could figure out, but nothing helps. Does anyone have any solution?

(BTW: I also now have got the problem that the WLAN disconnects even though I have said that it should never disconnect...)

A workaround. I noticed that the free "MX Player" on the google Play Market seems to work better. When you start it you have to download some codecs but it is easily done.

When trying to do fast forward sometimes it jumps to the start of the movie, but after it has done that strange jump once it then actually works perfect to do skip forward / backward many times etc without any problem or crashes.

This last update has been nothing short of pathetic and I'm at a point where I'm thinking I'll get a new tablet now. Youtube vids don't run at all for me now, whether using the app or through the YT main site or imbedded videos. It just crashes and I have to force close the program. How can there be no roll back function especially when something has clearly not been tested fully.

Then to top it all off, I come onto the sony tablet help forum, using my sony tablet of all things, and I can't type in the message boxes with it so I have to use my mac for that. I held off updating till yesterday figuring it would be enough time for Sony to get issues sorted, what an idiot I am. One of my main uses of the Tablet is for YT videos as my little boy loves to watch all sorts with me so I'm really disappointed with this.

By the way, I'm new here so Hi to all
