Micro sd card

I recently bought an xperia x. I have just purchased a 64gb micro sd card. I've fitted it into my phone but it doesn't show up. The transfer files from internal memory to sd card option in the settings is greyed out. What do I need to do to get it to show as an additional memory??

Try to restart your device.

Restarted it about. 4 times

Have you inserted it correctly? Did you check the card in a PC?

Hard to insert it incorrectly when it only goes in one wayway. . I'll try card in my pc when I get home

Is there any compatible issues that you know of or should I be able to use any make, size Micro card. I'm thinking of swapping the sd card at the shop I bought it from on the way home from work

The device is relatively new, so I think up to 200GB should be just fine. If it's a Sony/Samsung/Sandisk, that should be ok.

It's a SanDisk that I'm having the trouble with. Hopefully Its just a faulty sd card
