Blocking incoming phone calls - phone number is invalid

How do I block a phone number that comes up with 'invalid phone number'? 

As it cannot be as someone phoned me

I don't want to block private numbers I want to block numbers Sony deem to
be incorrect or not phone numbers

When they clearly are!

You can go to phone app> 3 dots on top right > settings> blocked numbers , and there  you can add numbers.
