Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling. Slightly_smiling_Face

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 and forum staff will do our best to reply! 

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

Having more issues. The mic seems to randomly stop working, I couldn't get Google Assistant to work and it wasn't picking up my requests, this has happened twice since I got the phone last week. So I went to restart to see if it rectified and it just wouldn't do it, I tried powering off and restating, nothing was happening. Finally it froze when I was doing something else and restarted, but these are bad flaws. Wondering whether to just return it and try a Samsung ☹️

I haven't tried, it's intermittent, so twice in 5 days so I'd have to put it in safe mode for a while and see whether it happens or not Slightly_frowning_Face

Hi, 

My camera app sometimes keeps hanging and it doesnt start till i restart the phone. It doesnt even force close from the settings. Any fix on this?

Why does the XZ1 have a double IP rating? IP65/68

IP6X No ingress of dust; complete protection against contact (dust tight). A vacuum must be applied. Test duration of up to 8 hours based on air flow.

IPX5 Water projected by a nozzle (6.3 mm) against enclosure from any direction shall have no harmful effects.

IPX8 The equipment is suitable for continuous immersion in water under conditions which shall be specified by the manufacturer. However, with certain types of equipment, it can mean that water can enter but only in such a manner that it produces no harmful effects. The test depth and/or duration is expected to be greater than the requirements for IPx7, and other environmental effects may be added, such as temperature cycling before immersion.
