Hello everyone!
We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling.
The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 and forum staff will do our best to reply!
As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!
The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.
NOTE:
Support related questions, such as raising concerns and troubleshooting are best suited in a different thread/their own thread. Please try to see if there is a thread regarding your concern, and if not, feel free to create one!
Does anyone have the same problem like me... I connected my xz1 to my car and listen to Spotify music at first it shows tracks name and artist etc but after using my phone for like 1 month it stopped showing tracks names and artist. Does anyone have the solution for this?
Same issue here...Xperia xz1 Bluetooth seems to have some issues
The same. Bluetooth is crashing very often, sometimes I must reboot the phone to connect to my headphones. And when I'm connected, sometimes I cannot use the phone to change the volume, etc. The headphones are compatible with BT 4.0, but I do not think that is the issue. It's really annoying. I think I will send it to warranty service. 😕 I think this can be solved by some software update.
Yeah exact same problem with me what u just said. Need to reboot to connect with Bluetooth again. My brother have xz and have no issue at all. I asked support and they could be able to help. They just say my phone might not be compatible with my car lol... I told them it worked fine before and after 1 month it stopped. But they still say not compatible and doesn't say anything about there will be any kind of fix coming soon.........
Yeah, you've got exactly the same reply (from the support) as me.. 😂
Now I'm thinking about the warranty.. It wouldn't help, because it seems that it is a software issue...
Sometimes it is working, sometimes not (I must restart BT and the headphones several times), sometimes reboot the phone completely... But there is not any problem with the headphones, they're working correctly with other devices.
Sony? Can you hear us?
You can see my build number in the screenshot.
Hi everyone,
I'm looking ot replace my Z5 single SIM with an XZ or XZ1 Dual SIM. Please could someone confirm if the 2nd SIM in the XZ1 can support 3G (or 4G) while SIM 1 is set to 3G or 4G. Most of the information i've found seems to confirm that the older XZ can do so but it is less certain for XZ1. (Could Sony have downgraded this functionality in the later model ??)
I live in Australia and there is no 2G network so a dual SIM phone is useless unless it can support better than 2G on SIM 2.
Also, maybe there is some confusion on my part around the "2G only" comment in the XZ1 specs.
Does that apply to voice or data or both?
i.e. Perhaps, if SIM 1 is 3/4G, you can only have 2G voice in SIM 2 but better than 2G Data.
Or conversely, if you have 3/4G data only (no voice) on SIM 1 then SIM 2 can have 3/4G Voice(?)
Hopefully the answer is quicker than the question
Thanks.
I recommend to w8 for xz2 ... Xz1 is a disappoint
Either w8 for xz1 premium or xz2
Thanks,
I've been wondering if I should wait for XA2 as it should be cheaper an do most things I need.
Just concerned about dual SIM and 3/4G on those alternatives too.
Hi,
I own an xperia xz1 and I am very happy with it. Camera could be better in low light, is not bad is just not the best in that situation.
About dual sim, you can have data only on one sim card at time, the card you select for the mobile date will operate on 4G maximum depending of the signal. The other sim card will operate at 3G maximum, so in Australia, in optimal signal situation your mobile data sim should be at 4G and at the same time the other sim will be at 3G, and if there is not 4G, both sims will be at 3G.

That's right for the mobile data it will operate on 4G and the other sim will operate on 3G for calls. Both can have at the se time 3G
