Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling.

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 and forum staff will do our best to reply! 

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

It might need to be compatible with the XZ1, as well as some regular chargers might also not work with the XZ1. Does the seller/manufacturer say it is compatible with the XZ1?

These chargers are universal for all kind of phones with type c connection

If you tested it with other devices and it works, most certainly the XZ1 does not detect or accept it.

Perhaps it needs more than 1ah to start charging,this one is 5 volt-1 ah. I 'll start searching for 2,1ah if there is something like that. Anyway thanks for your quick responce

The output amperage might not be the problem, read this thread of the XZ Premium (same firmware of XZ1) you might find an answer/solution: /t5/Xperia-XZ-Premium/Wireless-charging/td-p/1238406

Its because xz1 is whole metal so qi will be canceled. It works like clothes paper alarms at shop

I couldn't get back in to my phone since it had a Google security code had to have it fixed if I back up from sd card will the it lock my phone again

I have recently updated android to version 9 (Pie).

Does anyone know how to disable voice assistant and camera when the phone is locked?
