Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling.

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 and forum staff will do our best to reply! 

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

It's a Glove Mode. You can turn off it in settings of screen.

Whenever I take a photo in the sun where something green is in the frame (grass, trees) I get a huge swath of green lines that obscure the image.  See attached photos.  Any ideas on how to fix this??

The top plastic edge on my (purchased used) xz1 has fallen off. Remounting, repair, replacement (it is slightly damaged)? Have tried to find this part on the web, but to no avail. All usuable tips gladly received.

Forget about getting help here. They only blame on operator. The worst part on my XZ1 G8343 is no security updates from 2017

Your Sony is a premiere-launch edition. Send it to Sony or visit local Sony service for Bios/motherboard change. They update it with a simple software and return in 20 minutes mostly. No big deal. No sony fault here. Some locked devices from journalists just got back to the market, they were free TEST-only devices, that's why they're locked for Google updates.

Post it already on forum with "green hue on photos" subject. Nothing We can do with the sun hue. Some youtuber tested it and said it's the lens shape itself which mirrors the Uv filter shine on gorilla-glass protection from inside and that shine is captured again by lens itself.. Maybe the lens should be placed closer to the glass or the glass should be smaller like in Z4, Z5.

Hi all, I need help!

My Xperia XZ1 was in a bootloop. I reckon it is due to lack of storage. I tried to flash it wihtout these files: appslog_X.sin，diag_X.sin，Qnovo_X.sin，ssd_X.sin和userdata_X.sin. However, it was still in a bootloop. Would it be possible for me to just give up some of the data but with the photos remain? If yes, how to do it?

did sony fixed the wifi problem in the last update ( 42.2.a.11.228 ) on xperia xz1 ??
