Well, that is another Sony excuse.
I currently have 3 phones in my home with stereo front facing speakers..ZTE Axon 7, a Moto X Pure, and of course the XZ Premium. Only the Sony uses just one speaker for speakerphone. The other two phones use both speakers just fine and there is no echo problems.
I have tried to defend Sony every way I can because my Premium runs pretty good for what I need....but more and more it seems as if they are cutting corners by removing useful features while continuing to force useless bloat apps on us all in an effort to generate revenue.
I absolutely loath all the iPhone-Samsung clones out there with their useless curved screens but if this continues with the new XZ Pro then I guess I will have to move on as I've done many times before. So sad that not even one phone manufacturer can make something consistently good!

Same thing !
Given the rumor that sony (with lower case) is planning to ditch 3.5 mm audio jack in its next "flagman", will make me and my family say goodbye to one more iphone-follower company.
In the worst case of scenario, I would rather switch to iphone than stick to someone who is trying to look like iphone - thus indirectly admitting being behind and worse than "the apple".
.
Why is that some of the movies i played in my xz premium dual sim variant at played lag? I mean not smooth? But some movies or video are good. Even if they are the same file type? Why is that happening?
Dont worry
they arent making a curved edge display like (inserty choice swear word) Samsung
They are however trying to narrow the bezels but it looks like it will be a 4K OLED display
but unlike the other lame manufacturers tehy arent buying the screen from Samsung. Instead they will use a company called JAPAN display (i gather)
Since I am a very "happy" user of xperia phones, I am forced to ask one of the most stupid questions in my life:
How do I delete multiple text messages within one conversation???
I believe that you can only do so one at a time by long pressing on the message you want to delete and then choosing the garbage can at the top. It would be nice if you could select more than one at a time, but I don't think it's possible with the default messaging app.
Hi folks. I’ve just bought an XZ premium and wondered if anyone was aware of any magazines or books showing how a noob could learn all the features of the phone? (Being Middle aged I find it easier to read - and remember! - information written on paper rather than watching YouTube or trying to read a PDF document online.
Hello @Anglian;
You can simply download the XZ Premium user guide from the dedicated support site (https://support.sonymobile.com/global-en/xperiaxzpremiumdualsim/supportDocumentation/) and then print it, that is what I did.
I wonder if the XZ Premium plays HDR movies on Netflix at all. There is this test video called “Meridian" which has two versions: one in HDR and one in SDR. The SDR version runs fine, but the HDR version does not play. Or only until a higher resolution is loaded. Do you experience this? On the Netflix page is says that 4k HDR is supported...
No issues on my end here. Both YouTube and Netflix seem just find.
Make sure you are running the most up to date versions of each app, and maybe double check your firmware updates for your phone. I'm not sure if the second option does anything but I do remember they added it in later, just not sure of it was via firmware or application update.
The last thing I'd try is to heck within the settings of the app. The Canadian apps do not require anything to be switched on, but I can't speak to your specific country.
Hope this helps, 4k hdr is awesome.
