XZ1 Compact GPS not working after Android PIE update

We'd already talked about it. In defective models, if you hold your thumb in the metal part at the top left, then the signal reception improves a bit (still non perfect).
What you describe is a symptom of a hardware problem. Mine is being repaired for that.

Just updated to pie (delayed it as much knowing the GPS problem... tried last year and went back to android 😎 and had the same issue (wich seems to affect a lot of pie user no matter what phone you have according to a google search).

What I did was to clear hidden and visible cache throu CCleaner apps. Then switch the phone to Ultra stamina (which fixed many issue for me in the past) then turned off Ultra stamina (that rebooted the phone) and my GPS was working.

I tried both Waze and Gmap without issue (so far).

@uspwue Thank you, for your post. After switching to Ultra stamina and back GPS started working again after four months.

I could have saved myself buying an external GPS (Garmin GLO2) if I knew this back then.

@Uspwue, I also tried switching to ultrastamina mode and back again after clearing cache. GPS is now working much better!
