i have a xperia xz1 (G8341) and it accidently took water inside while taking a video at pool.( i think the water resistant protection damaged. i had been took a lots of video before with my family)
i talked with competent technical company about this issue they said we will replace motherboard and all your data will be loss. That is the big problem. I was using a diary app in the phone and a lot of memories about my sons.
firstly i connected to computer to take data, xperia companion application dedected the phone and request to open screen lock but not possible because screen is blank.
it could not connect to the computer. Other good thing also all new notifications and alarms works normally due to phone connected to home wifi network. i think this indication show the phone works except screen.
i decided to repair the phone by myself.
after initial inspection, found some corrosion on display connection and battery conncection area. it was cleaned with isopropyl alcohol and ordered new screen.
after replacement scrren worked normally. while phone is off and connected to the charger, battery charging indication worked normal , during booting "power up pictures" worked normal such as xperia logo, android logo , backlight and other things. after power up complete (phone wallpaper appear) just a half second screen goes blank again and does not respond. i think that another hardware problem is about GPU but i could not find it.
i need to your suggestion to other repair ways.or any other methods to access the phone for backup the folder.
i am sorry for long history entry. but i wrote things that i did.
