Cyber shot DSC H400 shutter lag

I have just brought a H400 and noticed that when i take a picture there is a lag of say half a second before i can take another picture, is there a way of removing this lag?

Welcome to the Sony Community.

There may be a delay if the subject cannot be focused.  Have you tried the camera on Auto Mode?
