Hi,
I have recently purchased a Sony Vaio SVS1312J3EW which came with windows 8 preinstalled (not windows 8 pro).
I need to downgrade to windows 7 as a number of programs I use daily are not compatible with windows 8.
I have a windows 7 licence and installation disc.
Tried to run the disc after modifying BIOS to boot fron CD.
All seems OK initially but then the installation gets stuck at the 'Starting windows' message.
Do you know if I can actually downgrade this Sony Vaio from Windows 8 to Windows 7?
Do I need some extra drivers to make this installation work?
I received suggestion regarding reformatting completely and install windows 7. Would that work?
