Hi,
Can anyone tell me what the voltage is for a new memory module. I have a choice at Crucial but I cannot find the info anywhere either on my pc, bios or on the motherboard itself. .
Crucial does not recognise the PC either as it's so new and cannot detect the info of the spare slot.
I want to add 4GB of memory.
This is what is currently installed
Memory Size (GB) | 4 |
Memory Type | PC3L-10600 |
Memory Specification | DDR3L SDRAM |
Memory Speed (MHz) | 1333 |
Thanks in advance
Dave

Hi Dave,
I have just re-read your post. You need a 1.35 volt module.
The "L" in DDR3L SDRAM and PC3L-10600 stands for 'Low Voltage'.
DDR3/PC3 would be 1.5 volts.
DDR3L/PC3L is 1.35 volts.
DDR3U/PC3U is 1.25 volts.
Hi davejo90 and welcome.
Does this thread help?

No easy answer I'm afraid.
That's brilliant Blencogo, thank you very much
I too am interested in upgrading the RAM on my laptop.
Out of interest where did you get the memory specification details in your original post?
On what has been said so far I'm thinking of getting this module:
