Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling.

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 and forum staff will do our best to reply!

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

Playing some video at low volume on you tube should show that kind of "crackling" too. Especially in the speech, if you can try it for me.

My Z5c's screen was way darker than the Z3c. I'm starting to believe it was a faulty unit on many aspects: bluetooth, screen, radio. I should have it sent to repair but general feeling about my country tech support was quite bad. I expect XZ1 to be better.

Sadly, we bought an S8+ for my wife and sound, screen and function are amazing. I am still pondering about deleting the pre-order of XZ1, if it wasn't for the noise canceling.

Has face recognition been taken out of the album app? Is there an alternative? I used that a lot on my old M4 Aqua to categorise photos.

@Tony0 I can't find the option in Album app on both X or XZ Premium, so I assume it's been removed.

Will the model of the XZ1 being released in the uk from carphone warehouse have a dual sim capability. I am having trouble finding a definitive answer to this....

I have read on some reviews about bluetooth crashing, working bad and losing signal. And also about system freezes: did you experienced any of above?

Seems related to the eably adoption of Oreo.

I still can cancel the preorder: better skip this iteration than be disappointed and jump off the ship.

The link you added in your post contains feedback mainly from Nexus phones users, using it to decide (and make others decide) about buying/pre-ordering XZ1 doesn't feel right, in my opinion.
