Hello everyone!

We tried out a new concept where we mainly let our community assist each other with product/feature questions in the Xperia XZ Premium board and it was a success! So, let's keep it rolling. 

The purpose of this thread is to ask anything that you wish to know about the Xperia XZ1 Compact; other users owning an Xperia XZ1 Compact and forum staff will do our best to reply! 

As an example, prior to purchasing an Xperia XZ1 Compact, you may be wondering if someone has tried out a specific third party app or feature on their XZ1 Compact, and could tell you a bit more about the compatibility and functionality as the app may important in your daily life. Staff and other users can come in and reply and let you know how it works!

The goal of this thread is to help each other out as a community. We will try to moderate this thread so that any new threads with a fitting question will instead be moved here, while we of course keep support threads the way they are now.

Try restarting the phone in safe mode and test it to discard the possibility of a third party app causing it.

I have also cleared data for Phone app and now it works on the Lock Screen.

In Unlock mode, though I still have to search for the notification and touch the image to make it full screen. Any chance to choose if I want it full screen or notification? Or any 3rd app to do this?

With screen unlocked and active it is normal beahviour for the incoming call to appear only on top of the screen, not full screen.

Personally don't know any configuration or third party app to change it.

Hello everyone,

I have new Xperia XZ1 Compact, which I updated to the latest 47.1.A.12.270. I noticed that the GPS icon is never shown in the status bar, even if GPS is turned on. On the other hand, GPS works completely ok. Does anybody have the same problem?

The icon will only show in the Status Bar when an App that uses Location is being used.

If it never shows in the Status Bar then check the following,  Settings - Display - System Icons, and check that Location is ticked.

I have updated to .270 and it still works the same as it did before updating.

Thank you very much for your answer! I did not realize that GPS icon is shown only in corresponding apps. I guess I was worried for nothing. Thanks again!

Hello, I bought a sony uch12 charger (not uch12w, which I saw later that is not compatible with xz1c) so my question is: Can I charge my phone with it and still be safe?

Hi @Bldahd1;

The UCH12 and UCH12W are exactly the same charger, the only diference is the cables that come in the package (only micro USB in UCH12 and micro USB plus USB-C in UCH12W).

You can safely use the UCH12 with the XZ1C using the cable that came with your phone.
