While I am on a call particularly on a cellular network call, in parallel when I receive a message or WhatsApp. The notification is heard too loud and this is hurting my ears.
The sound feels like switicing from high tone to low tone.
How can I reduce the in call notification volume.. I reduced the media volume, ring tone and notification volume . Nothing helped. Save my ear please, seriously it hurts.
I wonder, do you need sound notifications?
With just led notifications you will see what's going on.
After the call as well when the phone is laying around somewhere and on the lock screen too.
It is a bug and it is disturbing it must be corrected in speed

Oh come on, or course he needs sound notifications, if his phone has a bug the fix isn't to turn sounds off.
I have an audio glitch when my alarm goes off in the morning, as good as these phones are there's something wrong with the audio at times .
You must be living on the edge that you're in need of notifications whilst making a phone call.
You mean you want me to turn notifications off before I make a call then turn them back on afterwards?
What about if I receive a call? should I turn them off before answering?
I think the better alternative is to carry on as previous mobile phones have done for the last 20 years and just have a muted Beep whilst you're talking.
Hi
I'm experiencing the exact same issue. It started the day on thursday 20 december a day after the last upgrade from Sony and my ears still hurt from yesterday.
Xperias swedish support have not heard about it before but I'm about to file a bug report. Will update
Any update on this, my ears can't take much more
I had couple phonecalls when that ear destroying sound attacked me. Even my wife heard it from 2 meters away, and it did really hurt for long time after that.
