While I am on a call particularly on a cellular network call, in parallel when I receive a message or WhatsApp. The notification is heard too loud and this is hurting my ears.
The sound feels like switicing from high tone to low tone.
How can I reduce the in call notification volume.. I reduced the media volume, ring tone and notification volume . Nothing helped. Save my ear please, seriously it hurts.
hi Robtr,
How did you report this bug ? even i want to report it from Amsterdam.
This bug is not exclusive to XZ3 it also appears on XZ2 series and I would assume on any other Xperia phone that has double duty top front speaker that acts as loudspeaker and earspeaker.
Higher a lawer and sue Sony about damage to your ear. Maybe then they will act faster.
Having the same problem, it's really annoying and causing me ear pain...
Hi,
I used the support function in the phone. Settings - Support - "get support" - contact us. After explaining the problem for a Sony representative they sent me information on how to record the sound event and send the data to them.
Good luck
Btw,
I still haven't heard anything from Sony in regards to this issue.
I've received a reply from Sony now, see below:
"We regret the late feedback in your case. After a closer examination of the problem you are experiencing, we have now found the cause of the high notification sound during calls. This is something that will be addressed in an upcoming software update."
Ok, thanks for the info... Highly waitting for an update!
Thank you for that information. I hope that Sony does that update very soon.
I've got an update today, ver. 52.0.A.3.163, but it didn't solve the problem. Still getting crackling and loud sound of notifications during the call... Come on Sony! 😡
